// the story

Two years. Rough patches. It worked.

01The lineage

Three generations of uniform. I broke the streak, not the discipline.

My grandfather and my father were both Lieutenant Colonels in the Indian Army. I’m the first in three generations not to serve. What I kept: SOPs over vibes, the daily muster, mission over mood. The lineage is the credential.

02The engineer

A decade building enterprise software before I marketed any.

Computer science at NIT Warangal, then Oracle: engineering, then consulting for Fortune 500 clients and leading a 15-person global team. It’s why I can sit with a product team, read the architecture, and still write the line a buyer remembers.

03The pivot

An MBA, then product marketing at companies you’ve heard of.

Michigan Ross, then go-to-market at Sprint, Telerik, ServiceMax, Reflektion, Rockwell Automation and Alight. Launches, analyst briefings, pricing, Forrester studies, awards. Good work, but I kept wanting to own the engine end to end, not just the content that fed it.

04The hard part

Laid off more than once. Once with no final paycheck.

A former employer’s CEO was caught cooking the books and removed by the board. The US operation dissolved overnight, three months into a Bay Area mortgage. I cold-messaged every competitor on LinkedIn and had a new job in two months. The lesson stuck: the discipline is portable, and the infrastructure is yours.

05The build

No team. No blog. No traffic. I wrote the first SOP on a Saturday.

I joined a data and AI services company in a contract marketing role with zero infrastructure, shared the SOP on Monday and published the first post that week. Then came the team, the attribution, and an inbound engine that now drives about half the pipeline. VP Marketing, then CMO.

06The system

Then AI arrived, and I rebuilt marketing as an operating system.

Not a pile of tools: versioned workflows over a shared knowledge base, with humans on every irreversible decision. It worked well enough that I wrote it down. That became The Agentic AI Marketing Leader Playbook.
